  • 2 naan breads or large pita rounds
  • 1/3 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 6 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced or torn
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzle (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or preheat broiler. Place naan on a baking sheet.
  2. Spread marinara sauce evenly on each naan, leaving a small border.
  3. Distribute fresh mozzarella pieces on top.
  4. Bake 7-9 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly and edges are golden (or broil 3-4 minutes, watching carefully).
  5. Remove from oven. Top with fresh basil leaves, a drizzle of olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Slice and serve.
